ADMJ
Alliance for Disabled Musicians Jeju
2021 - Present / Founder & President
I led 12 high school musicians to offer free instrument lessons to students with cognitive disabilities, such as autism, at Tamna Welfare Center in Jeju. I overcame challenges in teaching the clarinet and saxophone by developing a specialized teaching manual after consulting renowned musicians with disabilities from Parasol Musicians.
To promote community awareness, I organized an inclusive concert featuring both disabled and non-disabled musicians, collaborating with Parasol Musician’s renowned clarinetist, who also has cognitive disabilities. I expanded ADMJ by establishing branches in Seoul and Gyeonggi, successfully recruiting over five members for each region.
Additionally, I invited students from KISJ to join ADMJ, increasing membership from 5 to 12 in just one year. The ADMJ program has since become the signature program of Tamna Welfare Center and was recognized by the Jeju Governor and the Minister of Education, receiving substantial support and investment for our efforts.
